About Me

I completed my PhD in Economics at FGV/São Paulo School of Economics. My professional interests lie in international development, impact evaluation and other policy fields.

I believe strongly in the need for social research to inform public policy and improve communities’ lives. I am eager to make a positive impact while interacting with professionals in the field.

Priscilla Bacalhau, Ph.D., has over 7 years as a Social Impact Consultant.
She has extensive experience in international development, with a focus on Education and experience in qualitative and quantitative research in all its stages, from design, instrument development, systematization, and data analysis. She has carried out impact evaluations of public policies and social projects, in addition to having extensive experience handling educational and demographic databases. Priscilla worked as a research specialist at Insper, as an analyst of socio-educational projects at Instituto Unibanco and as a consultant for several institutions in the third sector, such as Fundação Lemann, Itaú Social, Instituto Natura, and British Council.
Priscilla holds a Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Economics from the School of Economics of São Paulo – Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the Federal University of Pernambuco. She has participated in the Lemann Fellows network since her period as a Visiting Student Researcher at the Stanford University – Graduate School of Education.
